Ash burr bowl

This is an ash burr bowl, made from a tree that had to be felled on the Achnacarry estate, near Spean Bridge. The burr has grown over the tree life span of 70 plus years and was caused by red deer nibbling the young shoots around the base. Two of these shoots were left on the bowl to complete the story of the wood.

The completed Armchair with the Harris Tweed cushions made by Isabel Service in Invergarry.

Some pictures of the last piece we made, a Gustav Stickley design armchair (the forerunner of the Big Lazy Boy chair) from the early 1900's.

A friend locally is now upholstering the cushions in Harris Tweed

First Blog of NJ-Woodcraft

Good afternoon to you all.
I am in the process of setting up my website for NJ-Woodcraft and thought that this would help enhance the web-site and raise my profile through out the web. I will keep you informed when the site is fully functional.

The first picture is our new Logo and the second was taken last Easter 2014 on Aanoch Mor  (near Ben Nevis) of myself and my wife Sonia.

Regards

Neville
